John May

John May is a seasoned military veteran with over 21 years of service across the U.S. Marine Corps, Kentucky Army National Guard, and Kentucky Air National Guard. His extensive career includes four years of active duty in the Marine Corps with deployments to Operation Desert Fox and Operation Desert Thunder, as well as an impressive 72 airborne jumps.

During his seven years in the Kentucky Army National Guard, John specialized as a 13T Field Artillery Surveyor/Meteorological Crewmember and 13F Fire Support Specialist/Forward Observer, while also serving as a Level 3 Combatives Instructor. Transitioning to the Kentucky Air National Guard, he spent nine years as a 2T271 Air Transportation Craftsman and 2G071 Logistics/War Planner, playing a crucial role in global humanitarian missions, including earthquake relief in Haiti, the Africa Ebola crisis, and multiple hurricane response efforts across the United States.

With firsthand experience in extreme environments, John understands the importance of gear that performs under pressure, especially footwear. Having relied on tactical boots in the harshest conditions, he brings invaluable insight into what makes a great boot for military, law enforcement, and first responders.
