Carlos Lopez

Carlos Lopez began his career in the fire service in 2015 with the Middlesex Borough Fire Department in New Jersey, where he played a key role in recruitment and training. In 2019, he expanded his experience in New Castle County, Delaware, serving as a captain and the department’s Recruitment and Retention Officer.

During this time, Carlos attended the National Fire Academy in Emmitsburg, Maryland, focusing on Community Risk Reduction. His proactive approach emphasizes identifying and mitigating community risks through fire safety programs, smoke alarm campaigns, and educational outreach.

Alongside his firefighting career, Carlos worked with a local distributorselling fire equipment and PPE before transitioning to full-time sales in 2023. He continues to collaborate with departments to strengthen recruitment and retention strategies while promoting community safety initiatives.

Outside of work, Carlos enjoys spending time with his girlfriend, Monika—a fellow volunteer firefighter and full-time police officer. Together, they love hiking, attending community events, and caring for their cat, Whiskey, and dog, Wrigley. Most importantly, they share a passion for serving their community.
