Company: Loomis
Task: Reimaging Brand Identity & Uniforms - USA Operations
The Challenge
With operations in 23 countries across the globe and the USA's largest integrated cash distribution, Loomis proudly provides cash-handling products and services to financial institutions and commercial/retail businesses nationwide in over 200 locations, 9,000+ employees, and 3,000+ vehicles. In 2019, Loomis selected Galls to aid with their brand reimaging efforts - to develop, produce, and execute a new line of uniforms for all USA based employees.
The Solution
Galls scoped the project in detail for a streamlined transition for Loomis out of their old uniform for a system-wide launch. Galls merchandising team worked directly with a preferred factory partner for this project which required custom details including fabric, utility, branding, and reflective accents. After various collaborative milestones of development, Loomis committed to a program to be launched across the nation simultaneously and continues fulfillment and stocks the goods out of their Lexington, Kentucky distribution center.
The Result
Galls brought to market a highly customized line of products for Loomis, uniquely curated for their different climates and job types. The collection includes tops, bottoms, outerwear, and headwear that was developed based upon specific job requirements and environmental considerations. Finished goods were produced to include branding and accent details such as reflective accents and branded patches. In order to increase the speed to market and cost efficiencies, all Value-Added Services (VAS) are added to the garments at the time of production. This ongoing program thrives today, and all quality assurance steps and open dialogue with the customer is continued to ensure the product meets their style and performance requirements.
Company: Bay Area Rapid Transit
Task: Uniform Program Solution
The Challenge
BART is a transit agency in the East Bay area of Northern California with 500 train operators consisting of 2 job titles. Each work group has its own unique uniform. The agency wanted a supplier that could provide the uniforms along with the ability to track the allotment for a dollar amount and a unit amount of product and other customized reporting. They also required online ordering capability. The agency also required a business location within 50 miles to serve the contract.
The Solution
Galls assessed the opportunity in detail and was able to offer a hybrid solution. The first component was our eQuip, web-based solution, that allows the agency to track both dollar and unit allotment of their operators. This eliminated a manual process and moved it to real time tracking. Galls was also able to provide the reporting and ordering solution. The second component Galls could offer was a branch location within their requirements for fittings and alterations.
The Result
Galls provided a comprehensive solution to BART's needs that included web-based solutions as well as brick and mortar component. This program is live today and we continue to collaborate with BART to ensure the highest level of satisfaction.
Company: Hospital Shared Services
Task: eQuip Solution for a National Corporate Account
The Challenge
HSS is a large private company that is headquartered in Denver Colorado that operates in over two dozen states across the country. HSS is a leader in hospital and aviation security. HSS needed a supplier that could provide their standard uniform as well as any special uniform requirements that was requested by their clients. They also asked for a solution to assist with their billing challenges with the many contracts they hold.
The Solution
Galls examined the entire program and was able to provide a streamlined solution. The Galls online eQuip was customized for all of the locations with the exact uniforms and equipment that were required by location. Secondly, Galls was able to add the business unit numbers by location on the eQuip site to streamline the accounting process for HSS.
The Result
Galls provided the answer for HSS's request. With the help of the eQuip solution, Galls can maintain HSS's current contracts, and we can quickly add their new contracts and manage their deadlines for their new business needs while keeping their accounting processes streamlined. Therefore, saving the HSS administrative staff a substantial amount of time and reducing labor costs associated to managing the uniform program. The solutions that Galls provided to HSS are in place today and we continue to have a great partnership with HSS.
