MOLLE Vests

The MOLLE vest was designed to make it easy for the user to carry additional gear around their body that’s always within reach. MOLLE, which stands for “Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment”, is an advanced load-bearing system that allows for multi-functional storage and transportation. It’s either found on the vest in the form of a laser-cut panel with channels throughout or as rows of heavy-duty nylon loops called PALS (Pouch Attachment Ladder System) webbing. These attachment points allow for additional MOLLE-compatible equipment to be connected by weaving the straps on the back through the nylon webbing. 

With a MOLLE vest, the user can configure where and how their tactical gear is attached, plus it guarantees an even distribution of weight around the body without hindering mobility. It also allows the user to adapt to practically any mission without the risk of gear coming off while out in the field thanks to the stable platform and Mil-Spec MOLLE straps.

Popular MOLLE Vests

There are different versions of the MOLLE vest including the plate carrier, chest rig, tactical vest, riot armor vest, etc. The version worn is based entirely on user preference or department guidelines.

The Condor Modular Operator Plate Carrier (MOPC Gen II) boasts a highly mobile operator cut that’s lightweight and intelligently designed to meet the harshest job demands. The exterior of this military vest is covered with MOLLE for modular customization and accepts full-sized armor plates up to 10” x 13” on the front and back, plus side plates up to 6” x 8”. This MOLLE plate carrier also has a 3D mesh liner that enhances breathability and features a lightly padded mesh on the front and back of the harness for a more comfortable fit.

Designed with input from elite operators, the BlackHawk Omega Elite Tactical Vest 1 comes complete with sewn-in pouches on the front and modular S.T.R.I.K.E. webbing on the back. This MOLLE tactical vest is made from heavy-duty nylon mesh for maximum breathability and features six M16/M4 magazine pouches that can hold 12 magazines. The padded HawkTex™ Sniper Shoulder makes this a fully ambidextrous fighting load carrier and includes two large map pouches plus an interior BlackHawk® hydration reservoir pocket. 

The High Speed Gear AO Chest Rig is efficiently constructed to provide three rows and eight columns of PALS webbing. This MOLLE chest rig has side openings to store important documents or maps and features a hook fastener panel on the backside for easy integration onto plate carrier systems. There’s also an included H-Harness that allows the weight of this load bearing vest to be evenly distributed and creates a level of comfort over and above the X-backed shoulder straps.
