Excellent Knife

All of our agents carry this knife as part of their kit... it's been used in several different situations and conditions. Lots of water and salt air- no corrosion. Blade stays sharp....

Tool

Went to pop a window on a car for extrication. The point came out of the hole and the slide broke. Glad we had another tool.

This knife is amazing, sharp, strong glass breaker, slim and light weight. I have seen bad reviews of this knife, granted half of the users that bought it just sit and play with it til it breaks. If you save it until it's actually needed, it is a asset for extrication. Glad I made this purchase. I highly recommend this knife for any first responder.

Disappointing
December 28, 2013

I was really disappointed with this knife, I expected a lot more from such a reputable company like Smith & Wesson, especially with how much they charge for this knife. The knife wasn't sharp at all when I pulled it out of the box. Within a couple of weeks the pocket clip was loose and after I tightened it, it was loose again in couple days. After about 6 weeks the spring assist on the blade was loose to the point that it wouldn't open all the way. I haven't had a chance to use the window punch, but it doesn't seem like a very effective design. In my opinion go with another knife, this one's a waste of money.

I received this nice knife for a gift from my favorite deputy. I love it!!! I used it on a semi accident I responded to. The driver some how had his seatbelt wrapped around his neck and was choked unconscious. I deployed my Smith and Wesson First Responder Knife broke his window with my window punch and then cut his seatbelt. This knife is bad ass!!!
