Haven't had any problems yet other than when i received them and took them out of the box they looked used. They look very tarnished and there's no instruction on how to polish or clean them up. Other than that no problems they look nice and feel nice. I hope galls wont give me any problems when i call. I will update in a few months.

I got my first pair of Smith and Wesson cuffs a few days ago and the day, they were put to the first test. I had a suspect try to break them while he was cuffed. The cuffs didn't break. His wrists were another story. His trip to jail took a detour to the emergency room for treatment. Needless to say, I am very pleased with these cuffs.

Excellent cuffs, functional, smooth latching. The only problem at all I have, and this is a purchase problem as opposed to a S&W problem, is that the pair I received looked as if they'd been run through the ringer and back and then shoved into a box. Did not look new at all.

There's nothing special about these cuffs but you don't need any perks or frills when it comes to these Smith and Wessons. They're durable, don't rust and have excellent latching. I'll never go back to another cuff again!

I received mine two days ago and have used them already. Here's the kicker... I'm a volunteer firefighter. We arrived before the cops on an assault scene and suspect was still actively violent. We wrangled him and the cuffs do what they say. I felt safe, and everyone else did, too.

Right when I got them I tried them on to see what they felt like, because I have never been arrested before. If you try this MAKE SURE SOMEONE ELSE IS THERE, because I had to have my step-mother get me out of them, heh heh. These are some great cuffs. Highly recommended to all law enforcement officers.

We purchased these cuffs for our officers because someone said S&W were better quality than Peerless. But we found out that they don't use the universal keys that all other cuffs use. Other agencies couldn't get them unlocked! This detail (however small) should be advertised.

There ARE good and well made cuffs. I've even gotten comments from the suspect on how well they feel. There's no reason to buy the $35 cuffs when they are just heavier and impractical for short transportation.
