I have had these boots for 10 months. I work for a private ambulance company in Milwaukee. I personally have probably ran well over 800 calls in these boots. doing 24 on 48 off since I have had them.
They broke in well... took about a week or two. Were the best boots i've had for about two months. then the whole inside liner of the boot started coming apart. The foam on the outside is coming apart. the sole is worn as if ive had them for years. I do run them hard but so does everyone else at my work with differnt boots and there all fine. Make them more durable and ill buy them forever.
I have had these boots since last December (10 months) work them on 48hr shifts on the bus for three months and then put them on the shelf during warm weather (Apr-Aug) change uniform to shorts. Now I have them back on they feel good no glue problems like the ankle support I adjusted my laces then cut them short. I use a long shoehorn to help get them on. I am happy with them. I have worn about every brand out there. My favorite boots have been Danner's but for the money this Rocky seems to do the job. I really like the ankle supports and polishless nature of the materials and the reflective spots show up. You won't be disappointed. Will they wear out of course.
I am a full time EMT and have served in the Army infantry for over 12 years. I know my boots rather well. I have had these boots for only a few months working two or three 12 hour shifts a week. The boots have no give and are seem impossible to break in. The seam holding the eyelets has broken apart. These boots are uncomfortable but if like blisters get them. I would never recommend this sloppy excuse for a boot to anyone.
4th day I had the boots the ziper started getting stuck half way up the zipper, and now after 3 months it needs replaced..blue lettering started coming off the 2nd week I had the boot
As another reviewer stated, these boots just don't hold up. I've had these boots for about 6 months, and the inner lining of both of them has eroded completely, leaving no padding between my foot and the hard plastic kick guard. I absolutely must advise against getting these. While they were fantastic for the first few months, their durability proved to completely outweigh the positive aspects of this boot.
Within three months of wearing these boots three to four days per week, twelve hour shifts, the inside of one boot is coming apart, and the eyelets that hold the laces in the lower part of the boot are starting to break. I do not wear my shoes tied tightly, but the eyelet is only a thin piece of nylon material. This happened on both boots. I have had much more comfortable and durable boots for much cheaper.
Bought these 6 months ago after really careful consideration. Really, really stiff uppers, hard to wear in. Walking feels like a brick on your foot, without any "give" in the boot at all. All the bells and whistles after 15 years on the street and I always go back to my other boots that are beat up. Not impressed. Rocky's old line that was discontinued was better. Bummer.
