The lightest, fastest-drying, highest mobility performance boot Nike has ever made!
A modern, athletic boot engineered to meet the expectations of world class heroes! Parts of the forefoot are puncture and laceration resistant, while the midsole is super cushioned and extra flexible. The directional traction outsole offers a better grip when walking and running downhill.
This is easily the most comfortable and light boot I've ever worn. Feels like I'm wearing a tennis shoe. Hopefully they hold up.
Don't waste your money on these boots, they have no arch support and will kill your feet after walking or standing. And if you have to kick-in a door you can forget about it unless you are looking for a workers comp case.
These boots are comfortable and lightweight; there is no denying that. However, the quality is garbage. I wore these boots for couple months in Afghanistan as a security contractor and then again for Army Infantry drill (once a month) and then during Annual Training (2 weeks). So overall, about 7 months of wear. The toe has completely come unglued on the left boot and is creeping its way along the sole; the right boot is becoming unglued as well. I saw several pairs of the same boot while at Annual Training and every pair I saw was doing the same thing. I tried contacting Nike about the issue with no resolve.
Probably a great boot for light, every now and then type hobbies but can't recommend for the daily boot wearer who needs the quality that should come with a $140 +/- pair of boots.
Not great... I've had mine 6 months and the tread is pealing off the bottom. Very light, but that's because there's no cushion at all. Tread sucks, coming off the base of boot, I'm trying to return them
Pros: lightweight. somewhat comfortable; they'd be more comfortable if they had more arch support.
Cons: absolutely no arch support, not very durable; lasted me about a 10 months and soles started to tear, not waterproof. no side zipper option.
I purchased this boot looking for a more comfortable boot due to my current position which consist of a lot of walking. This boot itself is very nice looking and fits like a glove but after only 4-6 months the sole (bottoms) is already showing signs of no tread and need of replacement. I been on the job for over 20 years and never had a police boot last less than a year. Nike needs to develope a sole for these boots other than just some type of sneaker base which pretty much what they are. Nike wants to call these tactical and they cant last what the average tactical boot would. Nike stick to what you know and that sneakers not tactical/police base gea, your out of your league!
the boots are super lite... not comfortable after straight 8 hours of standing and walking. this a summer boot for sure. this boot is better served as a training boot vs. an all day boot. they do shine up good.
I wore all sorts of boots during my 20+ years as a USAF policeman. Now as a civilian police officer I'm still looking for comfortable boots, lightweight, and no insulation (I'm in SoCal). These fit the bill in all aspects. I will be ordering another pair soon.
I have owned and worn these boots for several months now. I am a full time Paramedic and work on average of 72 hour's a week or more. I cannot find a down side to these boots. They are simply amazing " for me anyway" I have owned Bates, and 5.11 boots and they just do not hold up and they hurt my feet. I have ciatica problems from time to time and these boots have actually believe it or not helped with me not calling in sick to work since i cannot walk. I would highly recommend them to Paramedics/law enforcement or any emergency worker. That said, i'm sure they are not the warmest at all in the winter, but id rather have comfort than be warm! BUY THEM!
I'm a 20+ year active duty Army vet, I've worn combat boots for my entire adult life. I retired a few years ago and am now working in law enforcement. I decided to give these boots a try, wore them for a few months. I'm throwing them out because they are causing me ankle and heel pain. I don't have trouble wearing any other footwear, just these.
These boots are fantastic but are not for everyone. If you're not used to wearing a minimalist style running shoe you might not like it. Also, they offer no insulation so are not great boots for the winter. That being said, they feel as close to a pair of running shoes as I can find. I normally run in Brooks or Saucony with a 4mm drop. These feel pretty close to that.
They are super easy to clean and hold a shine no problem.
I'll agree with the previous reviewers, these boots are lightweight and hold a shine decently. In my opinion though they are VERY uncomfortable. They feel like there is not enough cushion. My feet get tired SO much quicker than my old boots (Rocky's, Bates, Thorogood, 5.11's). My feet are tired 3 hours into my shifts. Too breathable for cold climates. I also dislike how its a lace up only style. I prefer the side zip types for easy off and on. Some guys swear by these boots in my dept but I just cant.
I have worn 2 types of Thorogoods, 2 Bates, and a Rocky. I wanted a lightweight boot that looked good in class As. This boot is by far the lightest boot. It performs better than any boot, it feels like a tennis shoe. It shines up as good as any boot. Going on 1.5 years in these 50 hours a week patrol and there are no scuffs and the tread is barely worn. Excellent for hot weather too. Holds out water OK, but dries quicker than most boots.
At first I was impressed with the boot and how comfortable they were until the toe portion started to come apart in no time at all. I have tried gluing it to keep it together but the whole sole is now coming off. I think these are good boots if you are not going to be running around too much in them.
Super light and comfortable and they hold a shine. Best boot I've ever had (28 years on).
These boots look great, easy to shine, and are still comfortable. Every thing you could ask for. I have worn all types of boots (Danner, Bates, 5.11, Rocky, Corcoran), and these lead the way by far. Don't let price get in the way, these are simply the best.
These boots are super comfortable, lightweight, and feel like the Nike Free running shoes. Takes a few weeks to get used to wearing them if you normally wear thick soled boots. Not much ankle support but super light and durable. I've worn Bates, Danner, and Oakley's, but these are my favorite yet. About 8 months in, wearing them 4 days a week and tread wear is typical. If you're looking for a lightweight boot these are the ones to buy.
LOVE these boots. I have been wearing these for two weeks now. Switching from Oakley. These were truly comfortable right out of the box. I recently worked three 16 hour shifts and these got me through. I will comment that these boots do not offer much support around the ankle. The uppers are pure nylon mesh and very flexible. I feel this makes them more comfortable. I know some are looking for stiffer uppers. Fits snug but true to size. If you have wider feet I would buy 1/2 size up. As advertized these are summer boots, no insulation and fit just like a sneaker.
