The rifle sling allows you to conveniently carry your firearm in various positions and serves as a shooting support. These gun straps are used for a variety of purposes such as hunting, competitive shooting, training, ceremonial events, military use and much more.
By utilizing a rifle sling, you always keep your firearm within your control without having to lay it down. Further, it also frees up your hands to perform various tasks while remaining secured to your body.
Types of Rifle Slings
There are three different mounting systems used to attach a sling to your rifle: the single point sling, 2 point sling and three-point sling. Each sling will change the way the gun is positioned to your body and will also deploy differently. Depending on what you plan to use your firearm for will determine which sling you should choose.
Single Point Sling
The single-point sling wraps around your body and is attached to a single point at the end of the rifle’s receiver. This type of sling can accommodate a variety of shooting positions and can be switched from one shoulder to the other. It’s important to note that while this sling gives you a lot of freedom for shooting, it also tends to swing around while you’re moving.

The 2 point sling attaches to the rifle at two different points. It’s meant to be carried across the front or the back of the body in a comfortable and secure manner. It can also be cinched to keep the firearm close to your body without a lot of swinging and then lowered back down into a shooting position.
