A small, patented wave-shaped tab on the blade is built to catch on the pocket seam, by the time the knife has been fully withdrawn from the pocket the blade is deployed and ready for use. Pre-drilled holes in the handle allow the user to change either the tip position or the side on which the knife carries. A steel handle scale slides behind the blade to lock in place during use for safety. The 8Cr13MoV steel tanto blade is razor sharp with a non-reflective, black-oxide coating for additional protection.
