Under Armour Men's Valsetz 7" Tactical Boots feature:
Best boots I have ever worn!
I am a CO, and I wear these boots 16 hours a day. They are beyond comfortable, however the outer shell of the shoe has come apart around the toe box. This is my 2nd pair of boots that have done it in the exact same spot. UA did replace my boots after I paid for shipping because it is a defect in the quality and they do stand by there product, however, I need boots that last more than 6 months.
If your looking for a comfortable lightweight boot this is it. I bought these upon a recommendation from one of the store employees and I can't thank him enough. These are by far the most comfortable boots I have ever worn. I suffer from Plantar problems and with these boots I no longer walk in pain. I recommend you try these boots.
I had these boots less than 6 months and the sole started coming off. I contacted UA and told them so they sent me a new pair of the Valsetz boots. I have worn them for 7 shifts and the soles are coming off of these now.
Not long after had these tactical book they started tearing up fast, will not recommend any to buy until they this product better
Trust all the BAD reviews. I didn't and paid the price. Only lasted about 4-5 months then the soles started coming apart. Sent them back and 2nd pair did same thing in about the same amount of time. Leak bad so be prepared your feet will get wet!!. Only positive i can give is they are lightweight.
I just got my new boots. Wore them to work and all they do are squeak. I am on my feet for more than 8 hours a night at 6 days a week. My first time buying these kind. They are comfortable. But don't like the squeaking nose that they make.
I wore them for the first time last night. It was raining so hard when I left work. My feet were so soaked by the time I got to my truck. Didn't like that my socks were soaked. Otherwise the boots are comfortable. They do squeak when I walked in them.
Like many on here have stated, these squeek like crazy right out of the box on every surface and they don't let up. Ridiculous. The sole is glued, so it will separate quickly and the grippy nub parts of the sole like to peel off. For a lightweight boot, they aren't even all that comfortable. Overpriced junk. Please don't buy these. Let's send UA a message by not buying these and trying to market them to LE. I lost $100 and have to buy new boots because these are not acceptable.
I work for a large and very active department and a good majority of us purchased these boots. Everyone I've talked to says their's started to fall apart within 4-6 months. The soles started to seperate and the material began to tear. Mine began to squeek w/in 3 weeks of owning them. Sounded like I was always traipsing around in water puddles. However, the boots are very light and comfortable...2 stars. Durability is lacking, we need a boot we can rely on. Not one we can rely on falling apart.
The original manufacturer was in canada when these boots were first made (Awsome product). They have since changed to a china manufacturer and the construction is inferior
This has been the most comfortable tactical boot I have ever had! They are light weight, supportive, and great for summer. My problem with them is: after 8 months, the soles are completely bald and the sides are cracking. I have had boots last more than two years of general use....and these lasted a third of what Im used to.
I had my first pair for approximately 4 months before the sole started to come off. I called Galls and they sent me a new pair of boots. After approximately 3 months of wearing them once again the sole is coming off. Very disappointed. UA needs to take these boots back to the drawing board.
Very comfortable boots, but after 6 months the sole started separating. I am not very rough on boots and normally my shoes last me years. Disappointed in how these have held up.
These a extremely light & comfortable! Warm weather only. Down side is 1 drop of rain& your sock gets soaked.
GREAT FIT AND REALLY LOVED THE BOOTS UNTIL 5 MONTHS LATER AND THEY JUST STARTED FALLING APART. 7 MONTHS IN I CAN PUT MY FINGER IN BETWEEN THE RUBBER AND CAN FEEL MY FOOT. I AM A K-9 OFFICER AND HOPE TO SEE BETTER QUALITY OUT OF UNDER ARMOR
I bought a pair of desert tan a few months ago , these are these most comfortable light weight duty boots i have ever worn . going to order another pair in black for everyday duty wear .
The shoes are light weight but are falling apart within 6 months where the material meets the sole.
Bought 2 pair of these boots at the same time. Had to switch my boots out every other day. I like the light weight and breath ability of the boots. Poor construction after 6 months the fabric is tearing and the soles have separated from the boot. I Do Not Recommend these boots to anyone who is going to be in boots day after day. I am a Paramedic and work 24 hour shifts and they just do not last. I am looking for a different product at this time.
most comfortable boot I ever wore. That being said all they do is squeek when I walk. couldn't be quiet if I wanted to. The just keep squeeking
I got my first pair of UnderArmour boots while I was working on an armored truck. Have been wearing them ever since (going on 5 years now). They are almost waterproof, lightweight, and feel like a sneaker. Highly recommend them for anyone working in security or law enforcement.
I've had these boots for over a year now and yes I agree with every comment before mine. These boots are incredibly comfortable and they look great. Beware though that yes they are going to fall apart very quickly. I still find comfort in wearing mine day in and day out to work unless my walking weather is going to include moisture. There is absolutely nothing to prevent your foot getting soaked so if your going to wear them, I recommend inside only or sunny days.
Purchased these boots for my husband. His usual brand Rocky was his favorite, comfortable and durable! He wanted to try the Under Armour name. Bad Move. These boots began coming apart after a few months of normal wear. The sole came apart from the cloth at the seam, from the big toe to arch of foot. We are now switching back to the Rocky Boots which last him over a year each pair!!!
The boot is real comfortable but was shocked after the fabric started tearing from the sole by the toes, only after a few months of wearing them. Also, no matter how many times I tie the boot laces, they ALWAYS come untied. I would not recommend these boots.
Good: Boots are very comfortable, lightweight, and feel great.
Bad: Downside is they fall apart very quickly with regular use(boot still looks new and the sole is falling off and fabric ripping away), slip very easily on wet surfaces, and have absolutely no water resistance.
I purchased these in the Winter and soon realized the error there, but with wool socks, they were not horrible, except in wind and too much exposure to water. The real problem with them is that at about month 4 of wearing them 5 days a week 8-12 hours a day, the upper started to rip, and at month ten they have had a rather large protion of the sole smoothed out, and various areas of the upper end sole have started to come apart. On the other hand they are very comfortable, and great for walking.
Very poorly built - stitching came apart on toes of the first pair at two months. Had them replaced under warranty. Second pair, same thing @ 4 months.
Soles are too soft and wear through in no time.
NO water resistance. Heaven forbid you accidentally step in a mud puddle early in the shift, you're gonna have sopping wet feet all day.
No insulation. Just cheap junk. Don't bother. I hope Underarmour's other products are better quality. I won't be finding out - I'm done with Underarmour.
This boot is extremely comfortable. It feels like a tennis shoe rather than a work boot but ONLY if you are in an indoor environment (ex: prison, jail, desk job, ect...) or occasional perfect weather days. This boot is not made for weather conditions that include getting wet and muddy. I would recommend this boot to a SWAT team member for only going out on SWAT calls or a correctional officer. Patrol units... not so much unless you got money to spend where you can buy new boots every other month. I hope this is helpful in your decision making before purchase.
I love the feel of these boots, no real "break in" time and are great if you work mainly indoors and where it's hot (i.e. a prison in the desert) but outside of that they're poorly stitched and made for long wear or serious climate changes. Not good at all for rain or snow and the stiching material around the toe comes up after about 5-6 months of every day wear & tear, and can also tear the sides easily if caught on something. For an UA product, it could be a lot better and improved, namely making it here is the USA.
I just bought these boots. So far, so good. Very comfortable. I noticed the soft sole so I can see why they don't last long. I rarely find a boot I enjoy this much. It's light and comfortable so I think if it last 8 months to a year then I will have gotten my money's worth.
(Disclaimer - I am a huge UNDERARMOUR fan, but if I could give these boots less than a 1 star I would.)
Cons - everything! The rubber on the end of the boot, by the toe, has fallen apart. The insole has worn through where the toes are. The stiching has come out on both side of boot. Almost all the tread has worn off. This is all in less than seven months of wear.
If you make the mistake of buying this boot, DON'T WEAR IN THE WINTER (you will find out why in 2 seconds after stepping in your first snow/mudpuddle). I am very disapointed with UNDERARMOUR for putting out such a horrible product.
Pros - very light weight, like wearing a tennis shoe.
Purchased many boots for military and police use. These are the most comfortable boots I have ever worn. Great out of the box too. I have heel spurs on both heels and these were the only boot to give me comfort. Recently operated on to remove heel spur and these boots still feel great. Have not seen sole coming apart or any defect as of yet. I plan on another purchase.
Sole fell apart in less than a year. I would not buy UnderArmour boots again.
Pros: Lightest Boot ever worn, Comfortable right out of the box - no break-in period.
Cons: Not slip resistant, Arch support diminishes rather quickly, poorly constructed - sole became unglued within a few months.
Just received them and right out of the box was so comfortable. No break in time required just a real comfortable boot. Only thing I did extra is order longer boot laces, only because I like to wrap them around the top of the boot.
But after 6 months of easy use they start falling apart.
For Patrol/Uniform use, forget it. They are not durable for Patrol use, look tacky with a uniform because you cant put a wax on them and if you're in the rain, expect your feet to get wet with the mesh material.
Very comfortable and light weight highly recommended.
Although the boot has great rough terrain traction, sand and fine dirt goes through the fabric mesh and into the boot, through your socks and on your feet. In spite of the aggressive tread, this boot is for street wear only.
