I bought these boots less then 6 months ago and they fell apart. They are very uncomfortable. I have always worn Bates boots but I will no longer wear them after buying these.
My boots arrived and I put them on the next day for work. I'm on my feet for hours at a time and though the boots were brand new, they were as comfortable as if I had them for months. Also, coming home I am less fatigued from not having sore feet or legs from a long day of standing.
These are by far the MOST comfortable boot I have found. No break-in needed.
Unfortunately, the sole came loose this morning after a year or so of constant use. But, these are so comfortable I'm placing another order right now.
For 8 of the 9 years of being a C/O I've had 2 pairs of these boots, with allot of yard doggin it. Countless cell entries, touring and shake downs these boots will do it without being stiff or uncomfortable. We C/O's come across many fluids when it comes to cell entries and these will keep you up.
If your a C/O you should at least try them once, Ive owned 1 pair with the zippers and the other pair without. I bought the zippers thinking I could just unzup the boots and slide them off without untying them but for me, if I kept the boots tied it was still pretty tight. It ended up being easier just untying the boot. I will say that the zipper, after 3 years so far, has not busted.
I've worn the 5.11 6" Tactical ATAC Quarter Boots with a Zipper for years. They're very comfortable, light weight, & durable. I wear the ATAC with a Class A uniform & Tactical Shorts for PT with the recruits.
Just ordering my 3rd pair of these boots. They typically last me about 3 years of 4 days a week, 12hr constant wear shifts. Light, comfortable and very flexible while providing some ankle support. While there are better, longer lasting boots out there, these are the best I've found in this weight and price class.
These are great boots: lightweight, reliable, descent construction. They have become my "go to" boot, as I've tried others and just cant find the same comfort and liking that these provide.
Just purchased my 2nd pair! First pair held up well, with the usual, inevitable breakdown of material...such as separation where boot joins sole! I'm still wearing them, after probably two years plus of performing maintenance (indoors/outdoors) in both clean, and very dirty environments. They have remained very comfortable, and supporting throughout the time I've been using them. Never experienced any problems with ample side zippers! I take fastidious care of all of my shoes, and my only complaint might be, that the leather or faux leather toe area would not take a decent shine, after about six months of use. Otherwise I am quite satisfied for the money I spent. One last thing...although not waterproof, the boots faired well in wet situations!
I've had these boots for 12mo now and I love them. I sometimes work up to 12hrs and my feet are cool and not tired. I've tried Bates, Magnum but these are the best so far.
Falls apart at the toe over 3months of wear, and water leaks in, Not reccomended for the money
