Using specialized design concepts and extraordinary construction techniques, ASP® is changing the future of handcuff use. An interlocking, unitized frame of high strength stainless steel is forged on custom-built progressive dies. The cuff is then overmolded with ordinance-grade polymers making it stronger and lighter. Cuffing a suspect is now easier, more efficient, safer and faster. Uses a standard handcuff key. Weighs 9 oz.

Dual Keyway
Beveled keyway on both sides of each cuff, so a keyway is always accessible.
High Contact Bow
Flat bow section provides single movement application preventing slippage on wrist.
Smooth Action
Engagement is so smooth throughout the 22 positions that no back loading is necessary.
Double Lock and Warning
Double lock foils attempts to circumvent the locking mechanism by trying to jam it. Yellow indicator alerts you to double lock the cuffs before releasing your subject.

SAFETY ISSUES!!!!
Nothing against ASP but theese cuffs are very unsafe. 'Ive owned 3 pairs hinged & chained. I prefer the chained ASP cuffs but the arm when swinging around will overlap with little pressure (VERY DANGEROUS IN A STRUGGLE) on both hinged&chained. On mine, the arm was crooked and stopped halfway through and needed to be "helped" into locking position.

They wil break
I personally broke a set of these. Good cuffs but if you get someone with a high pain tolerance and some strength, be careful.

Impossible to make mistakes!
Great cuffs! I've always preferred hinged, but with keyholes on each side it is nearly impossible to make a mistake! Love the single action double lock release!! Fantastic product!

Awesome!!!!!!
Great set of cuffs. Great one hand use, no fumbling around like with chain cuffs. Although chain cuffs are great as well, these are just so easy to use.

Superb Hinged!
I carry a set of these and asp chained cuffs. I will never go back. These hinged allowed for larger hands to easly apply hinged cuffs without worrying about covering the ratchet. Best hinged cuffs I've ever owned in my life!

I've had chain cuffs and hinged cuffs. The Asp hinged cuffs are the stuff.

Best cuffs I have ever owned!!!
I've had several different types and brands of cuffs in my career. I have to say these are the best I've seen yet! They are lightweight, durable, and smooth operating. Make sure if you buy these that you have or can buy an oversized cuff case. These will not fit into a regular cuff case.

Love Them But Don't Know
I work as a Loss Prevention Officer and I have used these cuffs up to 8 times a day and I must say they beat any other cuffs out there. They have grip, smooth action, light weight and they look real cool. I want to keep using these in my job but now even my local police dept is banned from using these cuffs and I heard about several laws being placed with the use of hinged cufs asp or not. Great cuffs but too many law biting issues!

Dependable
I have used this product in a couple of situations. Easy to get to and use. Had no problems with securing the suspect. Easy to unlock as well. Will continue to use.

Damn fine product

Good cuffs - depending on circumstances
These cuffs are good, but over-priced. There are times I still resort to my steel triple reinforced Gall's hinge cuffs over these, especially in a struggle. I got these on the "fad" train, and though I don't regret it, I still feel a bit on the fence about them. I have not had any safety issues with them, but at times the way the hinge is designed they can be a little more difficult to apply (too many points of flexibility perhaps). I do recommend them - in tandem with another set just in case.

Good Cuffs
Good cuffs, I have S&W chains and I don't know what everyone is saying that a regular key won't work, the S&W keys work fine in them.
