DECENT BOOT
The first item to go was the zipper, the toes separated. Not too bad comfort-wise though. I only had them a year before complete boot failure.

Great Boot
This is an awesome boot! I work for the TSA - Transportation Security Administration and am on my feet 10-12 hours a day. The boot fits well and is extremely comfortable. My first pair were purchased more than four years ago, and I still have them. My new pair is just as great!

Good Boot
After 9/11 I stood on toll plazas at the Lincoln Tunnel for 16 hour shift for approximately 10 months and the boots kept my feet dry and warm through the coldest winter I can remember. I am now buying another pair.

A GREAT buy!
I purchased these boots before the winter and after several months wearing them on a daily basis they have just been a very reliable pair I have worn. They keep my feet dry and are just comfortable to wear around only taking a day or two to really break in. I would highly recommend these to anyone.

Great Boot
Great Boot!! I work as an EMT for a private Ambulance company and work 24 hour shifts most of those 24 hours I am on my feet, and these boots keep my feet dry and comfortable the whole time. Had them a year and a half, it's time for new ones

Comfortable, but not suited for every job
I wore them all summer with no problems. Soon after I started working food service this fall, and without constant cleaning and polishing, these boots do not stand up to grease and floor cleaning chemicals. The outer skin is cracked and coming off.

Great Boots at a Great Price

Both Boots Started Leaking!

Leaked from day 1
Great price, but you get what you pay for -- these boots leaked from day 1 and the leather is not holding up either -- I have had the boot for 6 months and I need to buy another pair. I would not recommend thses to anyone.

Very nice boots, great price, totally waterproof.
Great pair of boots, I've had them for a while now and they have been great. I can run in them, they needed no break in period to be comfortable. Haven't slipped yet even when walking in rain, snow, ice, oil, asphalt, etc. The only thing I had to do was NOT lace the eyelet by my ankle. I skipped that eyelet because it was hurting my ankle bone but only on my left foot. Other than that they are great. I've been able to walk into deep puddles, mud and snow and I have yet to get wet feet. Awesome pair of boots and the rubber doesn't even wear out half as fast as my old pair. My old pair lasted me 6 months, these are about to cross the one year mark and still have a LOT of rubber left. Highly recommended.

Almost got it!
Over all the boot is a good buy. The Vibram sole is a little slick, considering the material is Vibram. On a tier or in a cell that is flooded, the boots don't grip like the old Vibram soles. Maybe in time?

Not Waterproof
This boot is not waterproof. I stepped in an inch of water while it was raining and my boot filled up.

I still maintain the boot is a good buy, and is water proof for a duty boot.
I'm disappointed in the sole. Vibram is a soft material that will wear down before the rest of the boot is in need of replacement, paticulary in the orginal Vibram (which I under stand was developed for the Italian Olimplica rock climbing team). The "old school Vibram" would grip so well that one could trip on a jail house wet waxed floor if you didn't pick up your feet to walk. I think this disadvantage of the Vibram in this boot is being addressed by adding stuff to the Vibram to "toughen" it up to give more milage. This sacrifice in traction over milage is a disavantage in the Correctional setting. I need the grip, for safety reasons; to prevent an accidential fall while making a round through the food prep area, not to mention sure grip on tier or in a cell when doing a cell entry or trying to subdue an unruley inmate,who will flood, soap, uninate, etc., on the floor to gain an advantage. The sole on this boot needs to be tabled for review on traction. The leather on this boots shines easily, and holds an inspection ready shine for weeks. I haven't had wet feet either from this boot leaking. After a run through unine or other nasty stuff, or find the boots dusty or muddy, I simply hose off the boots while I'm wearing them, stomp a couple of times to shake off the water and cautiously walk off until the sole dries a little. Correctional officers needs a boot that grips in all contidions. Inmates are in shape,,,our advantage comes from, in part, from good equipment. I would recommend this boot as a good buy, but watch your step. The design of the eyelets causes the shoe strings to wear our prematurely. the boots are very comfortable for a 12 hour shift.

A fair boot
The value was good. The boot's insole is uncomfortable and should buy a better insole if you want more comfort and are on your feet a lot. Took 2 weeks to break in and really hurt the ankles durring the break in period. The water protection is decent.

Wonderful and Durable
I bought one pair of these boots 4 years ago. I am replacing them because the insides are falling apart. Not bad for a 4 yr old boot that was worn almost every day in all seasons of MN. Don't know about waterproof, I always tried to avoid puddles.

So far so good!
I have had these boots for 3 months now. They live up to their intended purpose perfectly. The waterproof material works great, but does seem to make your feet sweat a little more than usual. A good pair of boot socks should do the trick. These boots are metal detector friendly! The surfaces I work on range from very high gloss floors to the mud salt and grime of winter outdoor work. Traction is very good even when transitioning from wet outdoor to high gloss indoor floor. Aside from a new pair of good boot laces and new insoles I think this boot is a great buy.

They work
They aren't as comfortable as I thought they were. They are ok, but the edges are a little rough on my calves, but I have several solutions to this problem. I don't know if they work in water, because I haven't tried it yet. Surprisingly they are comfortable while running, and they don't look too bad, but I am probably going to go with a different kind next time.
