These boots have a cheap look to them. I feel embarrassed wearing them. I'll go with Bates next time.
These boots are heavy and awkward. I feel less able to use my athletic abilities when wearing these.
Not happy with these boots. Okay so I'm tall (6'5-6'6") I never had issues before, but after buying these I hit the top of my head on a doorway at work. I saw the other guy say it is "greatness" to have such a think sole, but I find it bulky and clumsy. Seems "all show and no go", but thats just my opinion. Rick R
Just got these boots today and first time wearing them.
Let me say Amazing insoles! A good 2-3 inches of greatness!
I went from magnum 8in comp toe water proof side zip to these rockys!
These put the magnum M-PACTS to shame.
These boots will definitely keep my feet warm this winter. They are lined with a fleece like material. i hope its not too bad for this summer heat.
the steel toe kinda hurts when bent but it could be from over tightening my boot and may need a little break in time.
I don't really have a fat or wide foot and it kinda feels tight so i recommend for you big guys go with the wide.
True to size!
Look rugged and are bad looking!
I will keep everyone posted and do a follow up in a few months.
These boots fit horribly, I put my foot in them (which was difficult) and then couldn't get in out because they were so tight! They also have a grey ram head on the front which annoys my boss because he says it looks "amateurish" and not "professional". I bought a nice pair of Bates and made the boss and my feet happy. -R.Sneed
A serious problem buying online, and return the product. In the Rocky(4C-SP529) you have to buy #9/5, if you use the #9. *5.11 buy 9 if you use #9. Valsetz Boots (4C-FW258) buy #9/5,if you use #9. *Reebok if you use the#9,buy the #9.Please provide this information when making purchases of some other model in boots. Thanks you!!!
I've worn mine everyday for the last 2 years as a Correctional Officer in Georgia. They've held their own through everything the swamp (and the inmates) could throw at them. They're comfortable and breath very well which is great with 12 hour shifts. The only problem I've found with them is, they aren't metal detector safe;they set it off every time. Beyond that, they are a perfect duty boot. I'm buying a 2nd pair as a backup.
These boots seem great so far, but I had to order 1 size larger and they are still very tight. I previously had Rocky Portland boots. I ordered these the same size and could not get my foot in the boot. So order at least 1-1 1/2 size larger!
I bought these boots in 2002, have worn them everyday as a correctional officer, as a police officer, and for contract work from Eastern Europe to the Mid East. And during Katrina with FEMA. 8 years of EVERYDAY use! Finally showing their age!
I bought these boots and they were extremely narrow. I never have to buy wide boots but I had to exchange to wides with these. I thought they were good, seemed comfortable. Tried running after someone one time and it felt like my toes were getting smashed because of the comp toe. The wides were still too narrow!!!
I'm everywhere for my shift - deskwork, foot and vehicle patrol, standing post, etc. These boots are by far the best I've ever owned. The comp toe is very light, they fit great, and they have good grip for the snow.
I am verry disipointed with this boot. My first pair lasted a long time, the secound pair a week. The replacement pair is not scanner friendly. With the cost of returns, I will be changing brands.
First pair lasted year and half (200 12 hour shifts). When i went to replace them with newer model was disappointed to find out no longer offered with front zipper(laced in so you have choice to use or not) and changed the number of eyelets so i cant use old zipper.
these boots kill my feet they are double leather toed and are very hard and do not bend well. if you like steel toed boots then these are for you but not me
Had these boots for 1 year. Feet sweat alot! One of the snaps came off after a month. I work in EMS and have put these boots to the test. I live in northern minnesota and they are terrible on snow! Waterproof, but no traction!
I have owned a pair of these boots for nearly a year, excellent wear, comfortable, dependable...superior quality. I am a busy paramedic working both rural and city areas and this boot makes any surface a cake walk.
Very good light boot. I'm in the Coast Guard and wear them about 75 hours a week. Wish they made these with zipper sides. My only complaint is that the tread and the side rips off. Way better than any boot I have ever been issued.
GREAT BOOT! Works great in bad weather.
These boots are great. I have had them for about a year now and love them, and will now get any other kind, Rocky is the best.
One of the best, most comfortable boots I have ever worn. I would agree that the sole rips after a year of use. I have been through several pairs and this happened each time. All in all, these are excellent.
I bought a pair of these boots after attending SWAT school. One of the other officers had a pair and liked them. They look good and wear great. Add a pair of 5.11 insoles and you can not beat them!!!!
I bought a pair for myself, liked them so well I bought a pair for my son in law. He works as a heavy equipment operator in Michigan and I am a fireman/MFR and a mechanical contractor in Mich. We both love our boots, wear them daily, and have had no problems or complaints. Highly recommended for cold, hard work.
Sadly the soles began to rip apart just shy of a years worth of use, but the shoe was very comfortable, and the parts of the sole that didn't rip actually were very tough, and lasted. I can say that they have been through a lot on the job.
Had mine for a year, only problem is leather flap that covers the zipper tore off last week on one shoe (that does not affect it at all). All in all very pleased with comfort , seems to hold up very well. I wear these every night and sometimes 24 hrs a day. Lots of tread left and shoe is still in great shape.
Bought these boots 1 year ago. They started to rip after just normal use. Usually the boots I buy last for up to 2 years.
I had these boots for 3 weeks and they totally came apart. Try something else folks.
