If your feet sweat at all these boots are not for you!! They do not breathe at all, standing on my feet from anywhere to 8 to 16 hours a day and I can't wait to take em off!
Very comfortable boot, keeps your feet dry and warm. Have had them for just over 1 yr; this winter the glue has started to come undone at the bend in the front part of the boot. Water now leaks in. But overall not bad for as long as I've had them.
I am a law enforcement officer and purchased a pair of these boots only to find they did not even last a year. Its not like I was running marathons in these things either. These were worn on a standard 12 hour shift in a various weather in Illinois.
During ownership, the leather tore away from the sole on both boots, the interior heel backing wore and became displaced in both boots, and the side zipper broke.
If you're going to buy a long lasting boot, look into Bates. My Bates lasted for three years with the only maintenance requirement being the purchase of new Dr. Scholls inserts.
The first thing I noticed was that the boot rattles when you walk from the top two button snaps. I'm a police officer on midnights and talk about losing any type of ability to be covert. I might as well wear a bell around my neck. On top of that button eyelet eventually fell out so I couldnt snap it right away and the seam between the leather and the sole ripped leaving a hole in my boot.
Worst pair of police boots Ive ever had. They didnt last me six months.
Excited about getting these back. Ordered a 9.5 M and am having to exchange for a 10 W. So you may want to order a size up than you normally wear. Cant wait to get them back & start working in them!
The left boot is ok and the right boot heel is not right at all,it hurts! It is not smooth like the left one,it feels like it is off center! I just havent found a boot that works for me! They only have boots that are made for guys and my feet just hurt all the time! I cant win! lol
I have been wearing these boots for many years. This my 3 pair and wouldn't buy anything else. 90% of the guys on our dept wear these boots. Can't beat the comfort and price.
boots are great and comfortable
Only worn a few times but very comfortable with good arch support.
I've had these boots for 8 months now working 10-13 hr shifts and they are great
I'm on my second pair in 4 months I exchanged the first pair after 2 months of wearing them working corrections with the seams ripping apart. Now the second pair is doing the same ad well ad the leather cracking. They are very comfortable but they don't last.
I have had these for about 4 years now working 12 hour shifts and on my feet a lot, they have been good. comfortable, good tracktion in the snow. some of the stitching is coming undone and the iterior is strating to frey a bit, But with all the use and abuse they have held up. I am looking at getting another pair.
After owning a pair of these I will never buy anything else. I've had the same pair for 3 years and just bought a new pair. They are super comfy in widest size available. I wear to the gym, hiking, out to dinner, etc. The zipper has never failed on me , the insole is the best I've set my foot on. Very pleased.
I am a patrolmen who works 12 hour shifts so most of my time is spent driving. The first thing I noticed is the boot size runs small. Thought they would just need to break in but after a month of wearing I can't wait to get these things off by the end of day. My feet are killing me six hours into my shift. In addition, the buttons don't line up correctly on the flap which covers the zipper on BOTH boots. One snap has to stay open causing the open button to make excessive noise when you walk. Lately I've been having problems with the zippers not closing all the way towards the end and the tread seems to be deteriorating in some spots. Worst boots I have purchased by far.
I bought a pair of these in 2010 when I started working security. They broke in quick and fit like a glove. There water proof which was awesome and they clean up quick and look awesome with some polish on them. I wore them as a security guard for 3 months then through a corrections academy and as a officer for 2.5 years. They lasted me about 3 years until the side where my big toe is where the boot meets the sole ripped open. That is why they get a 4.. I even considered getting them fixed but ended up getting a pair of under armor boots. Overall I would buy these boots again if needed a pair of class B boots. I think for my class A boots ill buy the paratrooper boots.
