Product broke, had to buy a new one due to long wait time for repairs.

I own one of these and after 2 years of almost no use, the baton got stuck in it's closed position. Thank God I check it routinely.
I called Safariland (who apparently owns Monadnock) and after waiting on hold for nearly 20 minutes I was told I would need to pay to ship it back to them at my expense and that it would be 6-8 weeks to get it back. I obviously need my baton for work on Patrol so this was unacceptable. I ended up buying a new baton rather than wait. I'm not happy. A. It shouldn't have broke in the first place with virtually no use and B. 6-8 weeks is just ridiculous. They lost me over this.
