I've only used this for a short time but it seems to work just fine. It definitely takes up less room in my bag while transporting. I tried to order online and secure the discount and free shipping; no luck. I called to order and received a 20% off with free shipping. I recommend this device.
Nothing is perfect but it nice to have a much smaller lockable gun holder, I like it.
An awkward design, but if you want to pare down the NDB, a good alternative. Takes a while to master it's function, but well worth it in my opinion. Would buy again.
It is a nice alternative to "the box" If you transport your NDB inside a another bag I think this is a very good alternative solution. No doubt it is a tight fit but after a few tries the holster slides right in and out. With the paddle holster it is going in only one way. Coming out it relatively easy. I suspect with the belt holster it would be bit easier overall. When you consider the situation we are dealing with this is a pretty decent unit. With the discount the priced seemed fair. I would recommend it if you hate or are so so on "the box".
I am VERY pleased with this product and I would almost give it 5 stars. I received one of the first production models and my only complaint is that it is a little rough on the holster leather when sliding it in. With a little practice the product works great and makes my life much easier! In my opinion the product is priced below its value.
Also, I am amazed at the "sour grapes" attitude with the negative reviews. The product is not free and is bulkier than just the holstered weapon. If those people want to cut off their nose to spite their face then that is their problem. This product is not perfect but this product is a giant step in the right direction! I would have paid DOUBLE to get rid of the "toaster oven!"
Love it. Works great. Smooth and easy, WITH THE BELT LOOP HOLSTER! Watched a guy try with the inside the pants paddle and it was a struggle. The paddle angles down and gets in the way and is much bigger. I prefer the belt loop, and it slips very easily in and out of T907.
I find it extremely hard to get the gun in and out of. It is so tight that it is leaving marks on the gun. I find myself very leery about a discharge trying to remove it out of the holster. I would rather use the old set up but being it's an ice cooler in size, find I just don't carry anymore
I have recently rec. this and am very happy with it. It is much much lighter then what we had before.
A little too rigid and inflexible, but much better than the alternative transport option. It would improve with a more flexible design material or slightly more room to slide the weapon in and out.
I enjoy the smaller lighter footprint of carrying this Transport System around with me for multy day travel. On my second use, the bolt and nut that hold the swivel locking plastic flap on, completely came apart and fell on the floor. It is very difficult, tight, and time consuming to get your holstered weapon in and out of this System. Not designed for a Tactical or Duty use at all!!! It is managable and will work, but completely misses the mark on an improved device to aid the user in his Duty Day!!!
First, let me say this product isn't perfect, but it is a big step in the right direction. That being said, the critiques about having to laze yourself and others isn't true. With practice and placing your hand under the strap, you can grab the sides of the device with your thumb and pinkie and are able to get the weapon in and out with very little effort. It is a snug fit, but it is very manageable with a little practice. As for the lock, it fits as shown with no problem. I transport mine in a small Luggage Works case and it fits perfectly. For me, the setup is very manageable.
Far better than the issue bag in terms of size and weight. Almost as good as the locking holster without the hazard of placing a lock inside a trigger guard. It's not without flaws as noted in other reviews (slippery and a bit difficult to install on the weapon). But these 'flaws' pale in comparison to what the issue bag represented and with use can be overcome. This is definitely a step in the right direction. Don't be whiner. Unless you like the bag, this works great!
Large, Heavy, the plastic its constructed of is VERY slippery and difficult to get a grip on. It is difficult at best to get the holstered pistol into the T907, and even harder to remove. After installing and removing the holstered pistol a few time I've noticed numerous scratches and marks on the leather holster as well as the grips of the pistol. The pad lock required must have a very LONG Shackle or the lock will protrude and an odd angle which takes up even more room in a bag. Before you purchase, I would hold off for a better option. Believe it or not a locking bag is easier to use.
First, it is not perfect. Far from it in fact. It is heavy, and bulky. It has so much retention that storing and deploying are difficult. The lock hasp barely closes.
However, it IS better than what it replaces. The issue NDB is bigger, and heavier. It took up most of my duffle bag. It made participation in the program difficult. This unit fits in the old shaving kit, and packs into my duffle easily.
It is better than what it replaces. I think that going back to the locking holster would be best, but we are not being given that choice.
I would not consider this a good alternative to the dreaded "box". It is somewhat smaller in size, but this benefit is negated by the difficulty of it's application and use. The formed hard plastic makes it's retrieval and stowage difficult for both the firearm and lock. Grommets also score firearm's grip when stowing and retrieving. Definitely not worth the advertised price, get code for 20% off and free shipping may ease some of the disappointment. I would wait for a better alternative device.
I bought this item and it went on sale the VERY next day for 13 dollars less. I called to have the price adjusted and the phone operator rudely told me "some Companies choose to give price Guarantees but this Company doesn't" I intend to duplicate this bad review on Yelp and Angie's list as well as several "trade" websites. Don't worry I will ONLY tell the truth.! Merry Christmas! and a Happy New Year!
