After using the bag for 5 months I am not that impressed. I spent hours tonight sewing the bag edges as they are coming apart. The size and design is great, but for $99 the bag construction should be better. The fabric should be thicker as well as the thread that holds it together. Keep making the bag, just use better materials.
I purchased the bag after seeing it used by a friend, and loved the size of it. His complaint was the file folder rails not staying in place, which caused his files and forms to constantly fall to the floor of the bag. Being mechanically gifted, I saw that this was an easy repair. The metal rails have 4 tabs that slide into 4 pouches. The bag walls are lined with plastic. I simply placed the rail tabs into the pouches, drilled a hole through each one through the bag, then used black pop rivets to secure it. Works perfectly securing the rails and looks fine. Problem solved. This is something the manufacturer should do during construction. The bag floor should also include a plastic line floor, and a 2 more interior partitions should be included or sold separately. All in all, I love the bag.
the rails didnt stay in place so i had to glue them in and the metal bars also. bag also started to rip already and i only had it for 2 months . if they made this bag a little more tougher and sturdier its would be 5 stars
I like the concept behind the bag. I was planning on having a few hanging files in it, along with some standard patrol gear. The rails that the file folders hang on do not stay in place at all, neither do the brace bars that are supposed to keep them spaced. If there was a way to lock these in place, it would be a significant improvement. I have been trying to figure out a way to modify it myself, but have been unsuccessful so far.
Great concept but too big to sit correctly in the department's Impalas. Has to sit sideways on the seat making the headrest strap useless. Rails that hold the bags shape keep falling out and bend easily. As a result all the hanging folders fall into the bag and makes a mess. Fabric around corners wear and tear easily. I've been using this bag for almost 4 months.
Bigger than I thought it was, but not too big.
