This vest is, without question, very heavy. That said, it does feel solid and like it offers excellent protection. The only downside is you're giving up a lot of comfort for it.
I have had this vest for about 3 years. I work armed security on the weekends. It has been a fantastic vest for me. Good price for my twice weekly work. I would recommend this anybody that needs a vest for occasional use.
After reading the reviews...I decided on this body armor for my tactical vest.....it is stiff but flexible and a good back for my rifle plates....It is worth the money...
If I had zero stars to give this vest I would. It is the most uncomfortable vest I have ever worn in my career. You can tell it's cheaply made even the dyes in the carrier will stain your T-shirt when you sweat. The neck straps scratch your neck from the cheap stiching sticking out. This is also a thick heavy vest . Do not buy !
I have 11 years on and this is the 5th vest I've worn. It is, by far, the heaviest, bulkiest, and least flexible. It interferes with driving and my shooting stance. This is the kind of vest that makes an officer not want to wear a vest.
Stop Making These! I wish Galls would quit contracting to get there and the companies would quit making these cheap models. There are too may agencies that buy these to cross it off their to do list. If these weren't an option, they would be forced to buy good vests.
This armor is comfortable and easy to adjust. For the price, you cannot beat it!
