NOT BUYING THESE>
February 03, 2016

Never seen reviews for other boots where the tread falls off in chunks and comes unglued. Too bad...other wise has all the features I want in a very light weight and hot weather boot. Will stay away until more positive reviews or Bates makes improvements.

Comfortable but Falling Apart
January 24, 2016

I ordered these boots because I loved the Bates I had in the military and thought I'd try them out in the real world too. I have had these boots for some time and continue to wear them because they are comfortable but I too had an immediate issue with chunks of tread falling off the bottom after ONE shift. I didn't bother to send them back or anything and just snipped the chunks off the bottom so they wouldn't drag when I walked. Other than that they are good looking boots and are very comfortable for extended wear but they sure fall apart in a hurry.

Good boots
December 13, 2015

I've used this boot for the last 12 months and haven't had any problems other than them getting beat up from work. Climbing in and out of an armored truck everyday works them pretty good and only the soles are pretty worn but have lasted the same amount of time as my other model Bates boots that i have had. I'm planning on getting this boot again soon.

I had the same problem as Josh in previous reviews. The sole came unglued, got an exchange pair and the same thing happen to them but 6 months later. I see this to be a on going problem. These boots are junk. I did not buy these boot on this site, but think everyone sould be warned not to buy!!!!

Not quite sure
November 05, 2014

I ordered these and wore them for one 8 hour shift. I got home and one of the chunks of tread had already started to literally fall off. I sent them back to Galls and after I received them back I wore them for an 8 hour shift again. Half way through my shift I noticed the same chunk that had started ripping off the first time was coming off again. I don't know if they did a poor job fixing the problem or if it's a flaw in the boot. I sent them back again. If it happens again I will be demanding a refund. Take that review how you want to take it.
