Decent boots
I am on my second pair now. I love the boot, minus the fact that the sole comes unglued from the boot on the sides arround the big toe area after about a year. Both pair have done the same exact thing. Minus that I love the boot!

Good for the buck!
I am a security guard for a defense plant and I am constantly walking or standing outside. The boots are great for long distance walking or out in the elements. Yo definately get bang for your buck!

They're okay. I bought for the price, but find them to be heavy, non-water blocking, and eyelets eat bootstrings. Aside from weight, they're comfortable and durable enough but I don't think I'll buy another pair w/out improvements.

Rough on Laces

Very nice quality boot at a low price
I bought these boots for the price. I work in a steam generation facility. Long hours on my feet, was surprised at the end of my first 16 hour day, my feet felt great and I felt like I could go another 8 hours. Boots held up nice, but they are a little heavy.

Stiff
These boots feel like I am wearing a rollerblade boot. Very stiff and not flexible. The lacing system is not good and the flimsy tongue bunches up. Spend the extra money the first time so you don't have to buy another pair like me.

These are the best boots I have ever had
I think these boots are great. I wear these boots 12 to 14 hours a day. I walk all day in them, then I go to the fire grounds and work that for 2-3 hours. They are truly the best for the money.

Great Boots
These boots may not be like the hi techs I used to use but they are comfortable. I've had the ones I use now for 2-3 years now and I'm buying a new pair today (05/06/07). They do eat laces as some say and the heels, the inside padding tears. Overall, a good boot.

Comfortable, light & affordable
Usually, I wear another brand of tactical/duty boots but Galls has an excellent reputation so i decided to try these boots. I was not expecting much for the $49.99 price...but I was surprised when they arrived! Very well constructed boot that has a footbed usually found in high end footwear. These boots are light and feel as if you have nothing on at all. They go great with our tactical uniforms and I now plan to order a couple additional pairs for just kicking around the property here at home. GREAT DEAL!!!!

Great High Quality Boot
I am a Police Officer in Massachusetts and I recently purchased this boot after my older pair of name brand boots wore out. I paid double what I paid for the old pair compared to these boots and wasn't sure what I would get. I wore them the first day they arrived on a 9 hour standing traffic detail. My feet felt great. They are very well made and much more than I thought they would be. The soles offer traction and support. These are constructed better than the other brand name boots I have paid much more for. I am a Bank Protection Officer for a major bank in Florida. I spend most of my shift on my feet patrolling both the exterior and interior of the bank. The boots were comfortable but they split at the shank after about 18 months. The rubber heel and shank have split and there is no way to repair them.

Great Product....Slight Flaw
I'm now on my second pair of these. I've worn them in all types of weather in daily patrol. The boots are comfotable, durable, and light, but the lace eyelets have square edges that tend to chew up laces quickly. Good Solid Product. Thanks!

GOOD BOOT FOR LESS THAN 50 DOLLARS
I have worn several different brand name boots over the years. These boots compete with many of the name brands. If I get 12 months out of any boot for 50 dollars then I have gotten my money's worth. The eyelets need to be rounded. It would cut down on how many pair of laces I buy, other than that they are as good as most on the market.

These boots are really great. I am a cadet at the wccc fire academy in lebanon ohio, our instructor got these for us and they perform great. The inside is starting to wear out a little but don't all shoes? All in all a great boot. They are definately worth the price.

These boots look really good and are comfortable, but I do recommend buying different shoestrings for the boot. The eyes are metal and the strings that are in them make it difficult to get the boot tight. With some thicker strings these boots are excellent value.

Good Boot For The Price - But Poor Qaulity!!
I purchased these boots in February 2006 and by May 2006, the rubber soles have already began to separate. Currently looking for a new pair of boots. However, these boots are comfortable and lightweight.

what a pair
Had the boots for 18 months, they are great and comfortable for being on feet sometimes for 16 hours. They finally broke, not long ago the sole came apart and unable to fix it.

The boots have the kind of support that you would expect from an 8" boot- and granted that they fit right, their comfortable. The fabric sides don't do much, so they dont breathe at all, but they do keep the water out nicely.

Great Boots
Great boots. Good for training, I'm a police explorer and I train with the SWAT guys, very easy to maneuver in. Don't hurt my feet at all. They are very comfortable. So far they're in one piece. Great product!!!

Comfort is a plus
The boots are really comfortable. They hold up for 24 hours on me. The lining is terrible. I had to literally cut both of my feet out of the boots because the lining wore so thin that my foot got hung up in them. Other than that they are comfortable.
